' A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALLEN, COLLIN
COUNTY, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A
CONTRACT WITH FRAZER, INC., FOR THE PURCHASE OF A
REPLACEMENT AMBULANCE FOR THE FIRE DEPARTMENT; DECLARING
AN EMERGENCY; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, Section 252.022(a) of the TEs. Loc. Gov'T CODE authorizes the City to make a procurement
because of a public calamity that requires the immediate appropriation of money to relieve the necessity of
the municipality's residents or to preserve the property of the municipality; and
WHEREAS, the City Council find that a procurement for the aforesaid purchase of a replacement
ambulance for the Fire Department is necessary to preserve and protect the public health or safety of the
residents of Allen and because of public calamity exists that requires the immediate appropriation of money
to relieve the necessity of the residents of Allen and to preserve the property of the City; and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to authorize the execution of the Contract by and between the City of
Allen, Collin County, Texas, and Frazer, Inc., attached hereto as Exhibit "A";
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALLEN,
COLLIN COUNTY, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. That the City Council of the City of Allen, Collin County, Texas, finds that a procurement
' for the purchase of a replacement ambulance for the Fire Department is necessary to preserve or protect
the public health and safety of the residents of Allen and because a public calamity exists which requires
the immediate appropriation of the money to relieve the necessity of the residents of Allen and to preserve
the property of the City.
SECTION 2. That the City Manager is authorized to execute the Contract by and between the City of
Allen, Collin County, Texas, and Frazer, Inc., attached hereto and [narked Exhibit "A".
SECTION 3. This Resolution shall become effective immediately from and after its passage.
