R-1682-1-99RESOLUTION NO. 1682-1-99(R) A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALLEN, COLLIN COUNTY, TEXAS, DESIGNATING THE GRAPHIC CURRENTLY USED TO IDENTIFY THE CITY OF ALLEN AS THE CITY'S OFFICIAL LOGO. WHEREAS, a city's logo identifies that municipality in everything it presents to the public and, in effect, becomes the City's identity, WHEREAS, such a logo is used in a wide variety of ways by City departments, from vehicles to communications, WHEREAS, the City of Allen has adopted a Graphics Manual that establishes a standardization of such a logo to promote departmental consistency and correct, quality image reproduction, WHEREAS, this standardization is based on the graphic currently used by the City of Allen to identify the municipality and boards and commissions associated with it, WHEREAS, it is appropriate, for the guidelines established by the City's Graphics Manual, to have an official City logo, NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THIN CrrY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALLEN, COLLIN COUNTY, TEXAS THAT: SECTION 1: The logo graphic exhibited in Attachment "A" to this resolution is hereby adopted as the City of Allen's official logo. SECTION 2: This resolution shall be in effect immediately upon its adoption. Whenever the logo is used, both elements must be present with proper colors and fonts. If a line of text is used below the logo, to identify a department for example, the text should be in the same font as the logo lettering and in the same blue PMS color.
