O-1564-12-97ORDINANCE NO. 1564-12-97 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF ALLEN, COILIN COUNTY, TEXAS, AMENDING EXHIBIT "A' TO SECTION 7-2, ARTICLE 1, CHAPTER 7, 'LIBRARY,' OF THE ALIEN CODE OF ORDINANCES BY AMENDING THE SCHEDULE OF FINES AND FEES TO BE CHARGED FOR LATE RETURN, LOSS OR DAMAGE OF LIBRARY MATERIALS; PROVIDING FOR A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the Allen Public Library Board has reviewed the present library fines and fees structure for overdue, damaged and lost library materials; and, WHEREAS, the Allen Public Library Board, after a survey of other area public libraries, has advised and recommended to the City Council of the City of Allen a need for amendment of the Allen Public library fines and fees. SECTION 3: This ordinance shall take effect immediately from and after its passage and publication in accordance with the provisions of the Charter of the City of Allen, and it is accordingly so ordained.
