Call to Order
With a quorum of the Board members present, the Regular Meeting of the Allen Convention and Visitor's
Bureau Advisory Board was called to order by Chair Doss at 8:05 a.m. on Wednesday, November 16, 2016, in
the Third Floor Conference Room located in City Hall, 305 Century Parkway, Allen, Texas 75013.
1. Approve Minutes of the August 24, 2016, Regular Meeting.
MOTION: Upon a motion made by Vice -Chair Staples and a second by Secretary Simpson, the Board
voted four (4) for and none (0) opposed to approve the minutes of August 24, 2016, Regular
Meeting. The motion carried.
2. Conduct Election of Officers for the Office of Chair, Vice -Chair, and Secretary.
Chair Doss called for nominations from the Board for the purpose of electing officers.
The following slate of officers was presented:
Board member Doss for the position of Chair.
Board member Staples for the position of Vim Chair.
Board member Simpson for the position of Secretary.
With no other nominations offered, Chair Doss closed the call for nominations. Carson Doss was
elected for the position of Chair, Rhonda Staples was elected for the position of Vice Chair, Karen
Simpson was elected for the position of Secretary by a vote of few (4) for and none (0) opposed of
the Board.
3. Update on Convention Hotel.
Ms. Cromwell provided an update on the Convention Hotel project.
4. Presentation of 2016 Marketing Program Results.
Ms. Jones presented an update on the marketing program results for 2016.
5. Presentation of 2017 Marketing Program.
Ms. Cromwell provided an overview of the 2017 Marketing Program.

Adjournment
MOTION: Upon a motion made by Board Member Brooks and a second by Secretary Simpson, the
Board voted four (4) for and none (0) opposed to adjourn the Regular Meeting of the Allen
Convention and Visitor's Bureau Advisory Board at 9:04 a.m. on Wednesday, November 16,
2016. The motion carried.
These minutes approved on the 15" day of Febmary 2017.
