The called - special session of the Allen City Council
was called to order by Mayor Rodenbaugh at 7:39 p.m. on
Monday, July 7, 1986, in the Council Chambers of the Allen
Municipal Annex, One Butler Circle, Allen, Texas.
Mayor Rodenbaugh adjourned the called - special session
of the Allen City Council into executive session at 7:40 p.m.
Convene into Executive Session (Agenda Item II)
In accordance with Article 6252-17, V.A.T.C.S. (Open
Meetings Law), Section 2(f), the Allen City Council convened
into Executive Session at 7:40 p.m. to discuss items relating
to the Jimmy Wolff litigation.
The Executive Session was adjourned at 9:20 p.m.
Reconvene into Special Session (Agenda Item III)
Mayor Rodenbaugh reconvened the called - special session
of the Allen City Council at 9:23 p.m. in the Council Chambers.

City Manager Jon McCarty reviewed for the City Council
the time schedule and flights for the bond rating trip to
New York City to be on July 13th, 14th and 15th.

Items of Interest to the Council (cont'd) (Agenda Item V)
City Manager Jon McCarty advised the Council of some
recent information from the city's Parks and Recreation
Director, Mark Thornton, on his visit to the Texas Parks
and Wildlife Department in Austin, on the chances of the
r city obtaining more grant funds for park land acquisition.
Mr. McCarty reviewed the facilities that would obtain
the city the most points towards obtaining a grant and
advised of the options available to the city at this point.
The Council discussed with Mr. McCarty the Parks and
Recreation Board reviewing the proposal and bringing forth
a recommendation to the City Council. City Manager McCarty
advised the Council that this item would be placed on the
Council's agenda for July 17th.
The Council briefly discussed the installation of the
electronic switch to be completed on Saturday, July 12th,
by Southwestern Bell Telephone Company.

Mayor Rodenbaugh adjourned the called - special session
of the Allen City Council at 9:38 p.m. on Monday, July 7, 1986.
