Call to Order
With a quorum of the Board members present, the Regular Meeting of the Animal Shelter Advisory Committee
was called to order by Chair McGee at 7:08 p.m. on Wednesday 21, 2018, in the Animal Shelter Conference
Room, Allen Animal Shelter, 707 S. Allen Heights Drive, Allen, Texas 75002.
1. Approve Minutes from the November 29, 2017, Regular Meeting.
The minutes were approved by the acclamation of the board.
2. Discuss and approve change to ASAC meeting dates.
A motion was made by Chair McGee to move the Animal Shelter Advisory Board meetings to'the third
Wednesday of July and November. Seconding the motion was Supervisor Michnick, the motion passed
by a vote of four (4) for and none (0) opposed of the Board.
3. Update on adoptable kennel floor replacement, status of new hires and new ILA (Interlocal
Cooperation Agreement for Animal Control Services.
The current kennel floors will be replaced by the installing company with a more compatible epoxy
surface. Replacement will take place after Clear the Shelters event being held on August 18, 2018.
Current shelter staff is short two officers and interviews are being held to fill these positions.
4. Discuss and Make a Recommendation to the City Council regarding Proposed Revisions to the
Chapter3, Animals and Fowl, of the Code of Ordinances.
There were no recommendations to change or amend the current ordinance.

5. Discuss Upcoming Events. [Board announcements regarding local civic and charitable events,
meetings, fundraisers, and awards.]
Adiournment
MOTION: Upon a motion made by Secretary Brauning and a second by Dr. Coffman, the Board
voted four (4) for and none (0) opposed to adjourn the Regular Meeeting of the Animal
Shelter Advisory Committee at 7:41 p.m. on Wednesday, March 21, 2018. The motion
carried.
These minutes approved on the 181' day of July 2018.
