Call to Order
With a quorum of the Board members present, the Regular Meeting of the Allen Convention and Visitor's
Bureau Advisory Board was called to order by Chair Doss at 8:08 a.m. on Wednesday, May 16, 2018, in the
City Council Conference Room located in City Hall, 305 Century Parkway,Allen,Texas 75013.
1. Approve Minutes of the August 16,2017,Regular Meeting.
No action was taken on this item.
2. Update on Convention Hotel.
Ms. Cromwell provided an update on the hotel market in Allen and announced that the Convention
Hotel is scheduled to open on December 18,2018.
3. Update on Marketing Initiatives.
Ms.Jones provided an update on CVB marketing efforts and support to the City's area hotels. She also
reviewed the Marketing Strategic Plan.
4. Presentation 2017 Year End Marketing Results.
Ms.Jones presented the CVB Board with the 2017 Year End Marketing Results.

MOTION: Upon a motion made by Chair Doss and a second by Secretary Arnold, the Board voted four
(4) for and none (0) opposed to adjourn the Regular Meeting of the Allen Convention and
Visitor's Bureau Advisory Board at 8:46 a.m. on Wednesday, May 16, 2018. The motion
carried.
