Members Present: Greg Towe, Charles Akin, Joe Moseley, Bill Day,
Carol Henry, and Jim Pendleton.
Motion by Joe Moseley to accept minutes from February meeting as
read. Second to motion by Jim Pendleton. Motion approved (7) for
(0) against.
I. Inter System Corporation - Request for zoning change of south east
corner of Highway 5 at High Meadow Drive from LR(Local Retail)
to R-32 (Apartments).
Motion by Joe Moseley to set date for Public Hearing at next regular
meeting of April 10, 1980. Second to motion by Carol Henry. Motion
carried (7) for (0) against.
II. Fox & Jacobs - Consider resubmission of preliminary and final plat
on Timberbend No. I.
Letter read from Ron Fix, City Engineer, saying Timberbend meets
all of Allen's sub -division ordinances as to water, sewer,
drainage, streets, and sidewalks.
Letter read from Ron Gentry, Fire Chief, saying Fox & Jacobs
meets their requirements.
Letter read from Bill Petty saying Fox & Jacobs has agreed to
sidewalk requirements leading to school and park dedication of
$22,800.
Questions were asked as to lot size and lot width.
Motion made by Bill Day to disapprove plat due to lot size and subject
to sub -division ordinance. Second to motion by Joe Moseley.
Motion tied (3) for (Day, Towe, Moseley) (3) against (Henry, Pendleton,
Powell) (1) abstained (Akin).
Motion made by Jim Pendleton to approve Plat as presented. Second
to motion by Carol Henry. Motion carried (5) for (2) against, (Towe
and Day).
III. Consider Council suggestions on Items I, II, and VII of proposed
P & Z by-laws.
Motion made by Charles Akin to amend by-laws proposal as suggested.
Second to moti�m by Carol Henry. Motion approved (7) for (0) against.
IV. Consider procedures for establishing sign ordinance for the
City of Allen.
Motion made by Charles Akin to ask Bill Petty to obtain sign ordin-
ances from three (3) other cities and plan series of workshop meet-
ings with P & Z members to review and draft a complete sign ordinance

for the City of Allen. Second to motion by Greg Towe. Motion
carried (7) for (0) against.
V. Review part I of proposed submission by Sam Wyse of new zoning
ordinance.
Motion to adjourn by Joe Moseley. Second to motion by Jim Pendleton.
Motion approved (7) for (0) against.
