fication of R -2,R 3, R-16 PD, and LR PD to General Industrial
Motion by Carol Henry to set date for Public Hearing for May 8, 1980 on
the agenda of the regular meeting Sec nd to motion by Jim Pendleton.
Motion carried 5 for 0 against
Motion by Joe Moseley to adjourn. Second to motion by Charles Akin Motion

Commission discussed sample Sign Ordinances from the Cities of Richardson.
Farmers Branch, and Arlington
The decision was made unanimously to use the Richardson ordinance for a
basis for designing the Allen Sign Ordinance proposal.
Suggestions for modification were made in sizes and heights permissible
without permits, time limits on political signs, annual renewal of Outdoor
Advertising Ground Signs, and permit number required on face if Outdoor
Advertising Ground Signs
Motion by Jim Pendleton to schedule next workshop session for 8:00 P.M.,
May 15. 1980 in the office of Rountree Scho,l Second to motion by -Toe
