Min - Planning and Zoning Commission - 1980 - 12/01 - Special CalledSpecial Meeting Allen Planning & Zoning Commission December 1, 1980 Presiding: Jim Pendleton Present: Jim Wolfe, Joe Moseley, Tom Inkman, Wayne Armand, Sarah Chumbley and Carol Henry Minutes of the November 13, 1980, regular meeting were read; Motion Wayne Armand Second Carol Henry to approve as read. Motion passed 7 for 0 against. Motion Jim Wolfe Second Carol Henry to set December 11, 1980, as the date for Public Hearing on a request for site plan approval to construct a bank on a site presently zoned LR -PD. The property is approximately a 2 acre tract out of the Wm. Perrin Survey, Abstract #708 and being further described as 2 acres out of a 101.331 acre tract located between Bethany Road and Keith Drive, fronting on the west side of Highway 5, approximately 200 feet north of Bethany Road. Motion carried 7 for 0 against. Public Hearing on a request for site plan approval to construct an office building on Lot 4, Block 1, Whisenant Addition and presently zoned LR -PD. Motion Jim Wolfe to accept site plan with 2 conditions. 1. 24 off street parking spaces as opposed to the 22 shown on the site plan and 2. A 6ft. wood and masonry column fence along west property line as a privacy separation to adjacent residences. Second Carol Henry. Motion carried 7 for 0 against. Public Hearing on a request to change zoning classification on Lots 3A and 3D, Block 9, Tract 10B, Abstract #708, Wm. Perrin Survey, Whisenant Addition from R16 to LR. Several adjacent property Owners were present and spoke for the zoning change. The property owner asked that PD be attached to the request. Motion Wayne Armand to change zoning from R16 to LR -PD. Second Carol Henry. Motion carried 7 for 0 against. Public Hearing on a request to change zoning on Lots IA, 1D and 1E, Block 9, Whisenant Addition from R16 to R32 (Apartments). The applicant, Mickey Huffman, upon hearing objections from adjacent property owners withdrew his request for the zoning change. Motion Wayne Armand Second Joe Moseley to adjourn.
