The called Workshop Session for the Allen Planning
and Zoning Commission was called to order by Chairman
Pendleton at 7:07 p.m., on Wednesday, May 26, 1982, at
Rountree Elementary School, 800 E. Main Street.
This Workshop Session was called by the Planning
and Zoning Commission to continue review and discussion
on the 855± acre tract of planned development as
requested by Del Morton of Willard McDaniel, Inc., and
the Cambridge Companies Development Corporation. The
property is located north of Chapparal Road, east of
Jupiter Road and west of Allen Heights Road (Zoning
Case No. Z11-11-81-1).
Del Morton, of Willard McDaniel, Inc., appeared
before the Commission and presented their revised
site plan. Mr. Morton explained that this site plan
and accompanying density figures are based upon current
market conditions.
Bob Allison, of the Cambridge Companies Development
Corporation, gave the Commission a handout showing a
comparison between the Planning and Zoning Commission's
recommendations and the Cambridge/Morton requests of
11/10/81 and 5/26/82. He also gave them a breakdown
of figures of the Cambridge/Morton request of 5/26/82.
Mr. Morton explained to the Commission the differ-
ence between their 5/26/82 request and the Planning and

Zoning Commission's recommendation.
There was some discussion on the open space require-
ment, the total percentage of apartments that Morton and
Cambridge propose, and what Del Morton and Cambridge
plan to bring to the Public Hearing in the way of figures.
Mr. Morton asked for one more workshop, but it
was the concensus of the Commission that there was no
need for another workshop.
Chairman Pendleton recessed the called Workshop
at 8:97 p.m.
These minutes approved on the 10th day of
June 1982.
