CALL TO ORDER:
The Allen Planning & Zoning Commission was called to order on
February 26, 1987, by Chairman Browning at 7:31 p.m. at the
Allen Municipal Annex, City Council Chambers, One Butler Circle,
Allen, Texas.
Approve Minutes
February 12, 1987
(Agenda Item II)
Chairman Browning read the agenda item into the record as
follows:
"Approve minutes of February 12, 1987, Regular meeting."
MOTION: Upon a motion by Commissioner Armand and a second
by Commissioner Lee, the Commission voted 5 FOR and
0 OPPOSED to approve the minutes of February 12,
1987, as presented. The motion carried.

Discussion of Changes
to Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance (Agenda Item III)
Chairman Browning read the agenda item into the record
as follows:
"Discussion of recommended changes to the
Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance."
The Commission discussed the uses they considered appropriate
in the Light Commercial and General Business Districts. In
addition, they completed a general review of the second half of
the Schedule of Uses.
Commission requested staff to research the following items
before the next regular meeting.
1. The uses of restaurant with drive-in, restaurant with
drive-through, and restaurant with neither in the
Local Retail District.
2. Uses listed under "Retail and Commercial" as well as
"Accessory or Incidental" should be consistent where
necessary.
3. For the use of "Exterminator" staff was requested
to check on the codes required for storage of chemicals.
4. Staff was requested to provide a definition of the use
entitled "Carting, Express, Hauling or Storage."
Other Business (Agenda Item IV)
Commissioner Latimer suggested that each Commissioner consider
the definitions section of the Zoning Ordinance and bring back
suggestions for changes and additions at their next meeting.
Mr. Keener advised the Commission of the upcoming agenda.

MOTION: Upon a motion by Commissioner Garcia and a second
by Commissioner Lee, the Commission voted 5 FOR and
0 OPPOSED to adjourn the February 26, 1987,
meeting of the Allen Planning & Zoning Commission
at 9:40 p.m.
