CALL TO ORDER:
The Allen Planning & Zoning Commission was called to order at
7:30 p.m. by Chairman Browning in the City Council Chambers, Allen
Municipal Annex, One Butler Circle, Allen, Texas.
Chairman Browning stated that Commissioner Contreras had been given
the oath of office prior to this meeting and welcomed him to the
Commission.
Approve Minutes
March 26, 1987 (Agenda Item II)
Chairman Browning read the agenda item into the record as follows:
"Approve minutes of March 26, 1987, Regular meeting."
MOTION: Upon a motion by Commissioner Armand and a second by
Commissioner Karlsruher, the Commission voted 6 FOR
and 0 OPPOSED to approve the minutes of March 26, 1987, as
presented. The motion carried.

Final Plat
Cottonwood Greenbelt
(Agenda Item III)
Chairman Browning read the agenda item into the record as follows:
"Final Plat - Consider final plat approval for
Cottonwood Bend Joint Venture for the Cottonwood
Bend Greenbelt, being Tract A, situated in the
G. W. Ford Survey, Abstract No. 328, City of
Allen, Collin County, Texas; and Tract B, situated
in the R. C. Whisenant Survey, Abstract No. 1012,
City of Allen, Collin County, Texas; further
described as being south of Bethany Drive and
east of Deer Lake and Cottonwood Drive."
Mr. Bill Petty presented the plat to the Commission. He stated that
one of the conditions at the time of zoning on Cottonwood Bend
was that this greenbelt would be dedicated to the City. He added
that this plat includes the flood plain and some additional property.
The property was platted prior to the time of the new flood plain
regulations.
MOTION: Upon a motion by Commissioner Garcia and a second
by Commissioner Armand the Commission voted 6 FOR and
0 OPPOSED to approve the final _plat for Cottonwood
Greenbelt. The motion carried.
Workshop Date for
Joint Meeting with City Council (Agenda Item IV)
Chairman Browning read the agenda item into the record as follows:
"Set workshop date for joint meeting with Planning and
Zoning Commission and City Council for April 14, 1987, at
7:00 p.m."
Mr. Pettv indicated that the Sign Control Board will be meeting
coincidental to this workshop and therefore the workshop will take
place in the coffee room at the Municipal Annex. He then provided
the Commission with study books for the workshop session.
14OTION: Upon a motion by Commissioner Garcia and a second by
Commissioner Latimer, the Commission voted 6 FOR and
0 OPPOSED to set a workshop date with City Council
for April 14, 1987 at 7:00 p.m.

Adjourn:
MOTION: Upon a motion by Commissioner Armand and a second
by Commissioner Garcia, the Commission voted 6 FOR
and 0 OPPOSED to adjourn the April 9, 1987,
meeting at 7:55 p.m. The motion carried.
