SPECIAL MEETING OF THE
TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF ALLEN, ALLEN, TEXAS
April 5th 1960
To approve the City Election, held this the 5th day of April 1960.
With the following members present
Mayor V.B. Watson, Alderman J.C. Hefner, W.E. Ford, E.B. Young, and
R.L. Cooksey. R.J. McClure absent.
According to the election Judge a total of 166 ballots were cast
as follows;
Mayor Alderman
G.O. Smythe -- 14 Carl Marion -- 104 *
V.B. Watson --- 94 * Geo. Rutherford -- 63
Roy A. Hefner -- 55 W.F. Dutton -- 52
Jack Hedgcoxe -- 105 *
Motion by J.C. Hefner that the election be approved, second by
E.B. Young. Ayes (4) four / noes (0) none. One member absent.
