TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF ALLEN, Allen, Texas
July 22 A.D. 1960
Members present: Mayor V.B. Watson, Alderman W.E. Ford, Carl
Marion, Jack Hedgcoxe, and E.B. Young. R.L. Cooksey absent.
Member's Allen School Board present Alton Boyd, H.E. Hefner,
Carl Marion and D.L. Rountree.
Purpose of the meeting was to discuss WAYS and MEANS of getting
WATER and SEWER for the new school.
Motion was made by Carl Marion that the Town Council agrees to
construct Water Line and Sewer Line to service the Allen high school
at approximately ($7,000.00) seven thousand dollars cost. The Allen
School District agrees to pay as a connection Fee (1/6) one sixth
of the cost of Construction of said Water & Sewer lines. The City
Council to ascertain whether to ISSUE WARRANTS or sell Bonds to
service said work by the next regular meeting of the Town Council
which is July 28, 1960. Motion second by W.E. Ford.
