August 1st 1960
Town Council of the Town of Allen, Allen, Texas.
Members present as follows: Mayor V.B. Watson, Alderman
W.E. Ford, Jack Hedgcoxe, E.B. Young and R.L. Cooksey. Carl
Marion Absent.
Purpose of this meeting is to talk to Mr. Frank F. Haddix
about taking the job of City Police for the Town of Allen.
The duties & authority of a City Officer were read by Mayor Watson.
The following resolution was introduced:
"Resolved that the Town Council of the Town of Allen employee Mr.
Frank F. Haddix to be a City Policeman for the Town of Allen,
at a salary of ($100.00) one hundred dollars per Month. The said
Mr. Haddix is to give BOND to the City for faithful performance
of his duties. Term of appointment to be at the discretion of
the Town Council. Passed this the (1st) First day of August
A.D. 1960."
Motion was made by R.L. Cooksey that the Council pass the
above resolution, second by W.E. Ford. Ayes (4) Four / noes
(0) none.
Meeting adjourned.
