CALL TO ORDER AND ANNOUNCE A QUORUM:
With a quorum of the committee present, the Special Called Meeting of the Allen Cable TV and
Telecommunications Advisory Committee was called to order by Chairperson Don Wing at 7:02
p.m. on Thursday, February 15, 1996, at the TCI facility on #8 Prestige Circle, Suite 101, Allen,
Texas. The following items were discussed:
TOUR TCI CABLEVISION FACILITIES. PRESENTATION BY TCI STAFF
Mike Crain, Technical Operations Manager of TCI, gave a progress report regarding the system
upgrade (see attached), presented performance measurement forms used by TCI, and showed the
committee an updated projection of what channels the company would cablecast when the
upgrade is completed.

Steve Johnson, Construction Supervisor of TCI, explained the company's progress against new
subdivisions (statistical report attached).
Joe Neel, Head End Engineer of TCI, described TCI's compliance with FCC record-keeping
regulations, and demonstrated how maintenance crews discover and repair common cable leaks.
Janice Connolly, Office Manager of TCI, discussed TCI's call center and dispatching functions.
All TCI staff addressed questions presented by the committee.
