Approve Minutes October 27. 1994 (Aonda Item H) Chairman Garcia read the agenda item into the record as follows: "Approve minutes of October 27, 1994, Meeting." MOTION: Upon a motion by Commissioner Biggs and a second by Commissioner Allen, the Commission voted 7 FOR and 0 OPPOSED to approve the minutes of October 27, 1994, as presented. PLANNING & ZONING COMMISSION NOVEMBER 10, 1994 PAGE 2 '� ..iru �- - ��n-i1111 1i M4 F. -"111 Chairman Garcia read the agenda item into the record as follows: "Final Plat - "Consider final plat approval for the Allen Economic Development Corporation and Photronics, Inc. on 92.185 acres of land, being 46.828 acres described by Clerk's File 92-734 1024 and 45.357 acres described by Clerk's File 92- 737 1836 of the Official Records of Real Property for Collin County, Texas, parts of the William Perrin Survey, Abstract No. 708, located in the City of Allen, Collin County, Texas, further described as being located south of McDermott Drive and east of U.S. 75." Mr. Tom Keener presented the plat to the Commission. He stated that the plat is in conformance with approved zoning on the property (Light Industrial) and has been reviewed and approved by the City Engineer and Fire Marshal. The Commission discussed the need to proceed with the Council -directed name change of Bonham Drive south of McDermott Drive. There was discussion of the distance between the Bethany Tech Center curb cut and the curb cut from this property and that it was not in conformance with the Subdivision Ordinance. E` Mr. David Pitstick indicated that the final name for this property will be decided and reflected on the plat when filed of record. MOTION Upon a motion by Commissioner Gallagher and a second by Commissioner Biggs, the Commission voted 7 FOR and 0 OPPOSED to approve the final plat for the Allen Economic Development Corporation property. FINDINGS. 1. The variance for the curb cut distance on Bethany is appropriate because of the size and nature of this property, and the fact that it requires a north/south ingress/egress point at Bethany 2. The City Council has addressed the name change of Bonham south of McDermott Drive. 3. The actual name of the Subdivision has not been decided at this time, but will be decided before filing the plat of record. �, 4. Century Drive will line up with the median cut on Bethany and it will be enlarged. PLANNING & ZONING COMMISSION NOVEMBER 10, 1994 PAGE 3 The Commission did not act on this agenda item. MOTION: Upon a motion by Commissioner Crume and a second by Commissioner Biggs, the Commission voted 7 FOR and 0 OPPOSED to adjourn the October 27, 1994, meeting at 7.45 p.m. These minutes approved this d" day of 1994.
