Call to Order and Announce a Quorum is Present:
With a quomm of the Committee members present, David Hoover called the meeting to order at
8:30 a.m. in the Planning Conference Room at Allen City Hall, 305 Century Parkway
Agenda Item 1: Discuss sign requirements in the Central Business District
Mr. Hoover reviewed the sign regulations with the Committee as they relate to the Central
Business District. The Code does allow for creativity in sign structures if approved by the
Committee for historical or replicas of historical structures. The Committee discussed whether
to review each sign request, or to allow approval at staff level. The Committee agreed that Staff
will bring forward these special requests, and allow the Committee members to consider each
sign on an individual basis.
Adiournment
Motion: Upon a motion by Shelli Siemer and a second by John Baumgartner, the
Board voted 5 IN FAVOR and 0 OPPOSED to adjourn the meeting at 8:49
a.m.
