Members present was Mayor V.B. Watson Alderman W.E. Ford, R.L. Cook
say, E.B. Young, Jack Hedgcoxe and Carl Marion.
Visitors
Virgel F. Holt, discussion on the Exchange.
Edwin Ereckson and Bill Reaves, discussion buying a radiator
for the Fire Truck.
Mr. G.T. Jones and Mr. Yance discussing the possibility of
building of Trailer Park on the South part of the G.T. Jones property.
Discussion about what to do in regard to the Exchange, about
moving the City Secretary Office into City Building and etc.
Discussion about running the water to J.M. Clay for his new
houses -- The Council's decision was to run a (2") two inch line
from the MAIN LINE on South-East ave. C across the entire property
on the ditch line of East First Street. (Or highway 2170).
Motion was made by E.B. Young for the Town of Allen to pay for
the first 100 feet of and labor on 100 feet, and the CUSTOMER is to
PAY for all over 100 feet regardless of the size of the line that is
to be laid. The motion was second by Jack Hedgcoxe. Ayes (5) Five
noes (0) none.
Motion by W.E. Ford to set the SEWER CHARGE for the new HIGH
SCHOOL units at $15.00 Fifteen Dollars per month. Motion was second
by R.L. Cooksey. Ayes (5) Five, noes (0) none.
Fire Department discussed some more but nothing definite done.
Discussion about the SEWER LINE for J.L. Dement mi Block 8
of the Whis Add. what to do about charges & etc. if he uses 4" or
6" line--- 6" line will be required from Mrs W.C. Leach's property
west.
Motion by E.B. Young to fix the Street South-West Ave. D
south around to the WELL PROPERTY from West First Street. Motion
second by R.L. Cooksey. Ayes (5) Five, noes (0) none.
