Members present Mayor V.P. Watson, Alderm@nJack Hedgcoxe, Carl Marion,
Phil Pringle and Paul Warden city Attorney. With two members absent,
C.E. Ottoway and J.C. Hefner.
Meeting was called to order by Mayor Watson,this meeting being a public
meeting with the Town Council of the Town of Allen, relating to Zoning
change. Due to the absence of two Aldermen,(C.E. Ottoway °c J.C, T'efner)
the Council posponed the hearing on the BONING until May the II, I96I.
Mr. Paul Warden the attorney for the Town of Allen, states, that ate, G_
notice of the hearingxkmx2t should again beput in the paper.
With the council in regular session Carl Marion and C.E. Ottoway was
nominate for MAYOR PRO -TEM. Mr Ottoway was elected votes 2 to I.
Mayor Watson reported , he had -not been able to get estimate on the
drilling of a WELL.
Motion was made by Jack Hedgcoxe too buy (I2) Twelve BHAIRS for the
CITY HALL. Motion sec. by Carl Marion. Ayes(3)Three, noes (0) none.
MAYO1 WATSON request some street lights for the followiing locationts.
One at the Stubbs property--- One on KEITH STREET ---TWO on WATSON STREET
(one of these at XKX Hivh-Way $)---(one at Watson & S.E.-C.Street).
One at South end of S.rd. D.street. --- One at west end of First street
and Central -Express way. --- One at N.W. 2nd & Central Express way.
Mayor Watson was to get the County maintainer to do some street main-
taining, Saturday April 27, 1961.
Discussion's : Property owners with -in 200 feet of property under
protest for rezoning. ---- Taxation on the TRAILOR PARK ---Occupational
Taxes ----Personal taxes & ect.
Write The League Of Municipality for a Building Code for the Town of
Allen.
Motion by Phil Pringleto notify Mr. G.T. Jones that if he has
two houses on one WATER LINE he will have to put in TWO WATER METERS
or his service will be discontinued. Sec. by Carl Marion. Ayes (3) Three
noes (0) none.
