January 4th 1960
Minutes read and approved:
Members present as follows; Mayor V.B. Watson, Aldermen W.E.
Ford, J.C. Hefner, R.J. McClure, and E.B. Young. Attorney Paul
Warden was also present. Aldermen R.L. Cooksey absent.
On the advice of Attorney Paul Warden the
Town Council appointed a ZONING Commission of (5) Five men
who will have the power to zone the Town and will have the
power to enforce the said Zoning Commission, with the approval
of the Town Council.
Any change in the Zoning will have to go before the
Zoning Commission, with the approval of the Town Council and
be published in one of the County Payors for (15) fifteen days prior
before any change can be approved.
Motion by R.J. McClure and seconded by E.B. Young that the
following men be appointed as a Zoning Commission,
Fred Day, L.A. Gilbert, Carl Marion, W.F. Dutton, and E.F. Cannaday.
