Members present: Mayor V.B. Watson, Aldermen Jack Hedgcoxe, Phil Pringle,
J.C. Hefner and C.E. Ottoway. Absent Carl Marion. Mr. Jas. D. Fowler city
Engineer was also present.
J.C. Hefner recommend, to award the WELL CONTRACT to J.L. Myers I sons
Csec, by Jack Hedgcoxe. recommendation passed , Ayes (4) Four.
Motion by C.B. Ottoway to award Faze 2 and Faze 4 to Hay Jiles . Motion
sec by Jack Hedgcoxe. Motion passed. Ayes (4) Four.
Motion by Phil Pringle that we use the a 625.00 figure for the TANK PANT-
ing. Bee. by C.E. Ottoway. Also this is giving Mayor V.B. Watson the
authority to complete the above mentioned Contracts: Motion passed.
Ayes (4) Four.
Motion by C.E. Ottoway that any dedeitaded street must be a MINIUM of
(50 FIFTY FEET in width. Sec by Phil Pringle. Ayes (2) Two / noes (2)'Two.
Tie vote Ayes Phil Pringle and C.E. Ottoway. Noes J.C. Hefner and Jack
Hedgcoxe. Mayor V.B. Watson votes YES.
"RESOLUTION"
Resolved that the City Council improves the City Building suitable for
taking care of the City busisness. Which includes moving the CITY SECY.s
records & ect to the City Bldg.. That the City Secretary's salary be in-
creased $50.00 out of the GENERAL FUND, plus ($40.00 per month from the
REVENUE FUND Making a total of $200.00 per Month for full employment by
the City of Allen. Motion by O.E1 Ottoway and sec. by Phil Pringle to
pass said Resolution. Motion passed, with the following present,
C.E. Ottoway, Jack Hedgcoxe, Phil Pringle and J.C. Hefner.
"RESOLUTION"
That Salary be set at $2.00 per meeting':for CITY ALDERMEN and 0450.00
per year as a Salary for the MAYOR of the Town of Allen, Motion to pass
on said resolution by Jack Hedgcoxe and second by C.E. Ottoway. Motion
passed with votes as follows. Ayes C.E. OTTOWAY, JACK HEDGCOXE and
Phil Pringle. Noes J.C. HEFNER. Carl Marion absent.
Motion by Phil Pringle that the TAX RATE for the year 1961 will be
$1.10 per $100.00 valuation for the TOWN of ALLEN, in order to meet the
requirments of the proposed Budget, which was adopted by the City Council,
on this the 22 day of June A.D. 1961. Motion sec, by J.C. Hefner.
