1. CALL TO ORDER
Chair, Evelyn Dawson called the meeting to order at 6.10 p.m.
2. APPROVE THE MINUTES FROM APRIL 4, 2000 REGULAR CALLED
MEETING
MOTION: Shannon Kelly moved to accept the Minutes from April 4, 2000
Regular Called Meeting as presented. Lori Fairchild seconded,
and the Motion carried 6 for, 0 against.

3. CITIZENS COMMENTS
There were no citizens present wishing to speak to the Board at this time.
4. WELCOME AND INTRODUCTION TO NEW BOARD MEMBERS
Each of the newly appointed Board Members as well as the existing Board
members took a turn to introduce themselves and present a brief background.
5. CURRENT PROJECT UPDATES
CDC Project Funding - Don Horton
Don Horton presented a list of the projects that were presented to the
CDC Board at their last meeting, along with the projected funding
schedule should the projects be approved.
Artsfest - Lisa Anderson/Evelyn Dawson
Plans were finalized for Artsfest 2000, scheduled for May 29, 2000 from
5-9 p.m.
Summer Sounds - Lisa Anderson
Lisa Anderson reviewed the plans for the series with the Board and a
brief discussion was held on volunteers, banners, etc.
6. CIVIC PLAZA FUND RAISING
City Council Presentation - Evelyn Dawson
Evelyn Dawson indicated that the presentation regarding this issue had
gone well.
Discussion on Theme, Copy and Brochure - Doug White/Don Horton
It was decided that this item would tabled, and a Special Called Meeting
would be held on May 9 to review this issue in more detail.
7. CULTURAL, ARTS STRATEGIC PLAN - DON HORTON

Don Horton reported that Mary Vail would be working with this Board on an
11 ongoing basis. It was also determined that the Cultural Arts Strategic Plan
could be tabled until the Special Called Meeting scheduled for May 9, 2000.
