1. CALL TO ORDER
Chair, Evelyn Dawson called the meeting to order at 6:20 p.m.
2. ELECTION OF OFFICERS
A. Chairman
MOTION: Debra Siefert nominated Evelyn Dawson for the position of
Chair, and Cindy Kaleta seconded, the Motion carred 6 for,
0 against.

B. Vice -Chair
Debra Siefert volunteered to fill the position of Vice -Chair
C Secretary
Lauren Jones volunteered to fill the position of Secretary
3. CITIZENS COMMENTS
There were no citizens present wishing to speak at this time.
4. INTRODUCTION OF NEWLY APPOINTED BOARD MEMBERS
All Board members and staff took a moment to introduce themselves and present
a brief history of their time on this Board. Members of this Board who were
recently appointed by the City Council are Joyce Richards, Lisa Ellrich and Joel
Cantwell.
5. APPROVE THE MINUTES FROM SEPTEMBER 5, 2000 REGULAR
CALLED MEETING
MOTION: Cindy Kaleta moved to accept the Minutes from September 5,
2000 Regular Called Meeting as presented. Deb Siefert seconded
and the Motion carred 6 for, 0 against.
6. UPDATE/REVIEW ON BOARD PROJECTSASSUES
Don Horton, Lisa Anderson and Mary Vail provided the Board with a brief
summary of events and projects currently being supported by the Allen Arts
Alliance Board.
Some of the issues/projects covered were Allen Civic Plaza Fund Raiser, Dunbar
Painting, Art in the Park Sculptures, Autumn Rhythm Concert Series, Sunday
Sounds Concert Series, as well as an update on the Library/Civic Auditorium
Project. Lauren Jones reported on a meeting held by her ad hoc subcommittee
meeting, as well as scheduled their next meeting.
7. OTHER BUSINESS
Lisa Anderson indicated shirts would be ordered for the Board, as well as invited
{ all Members to participate in the upcoming Halloween Event at the Joe Farmer
Recreation Center.

Evelyn reported that plans were in place for the Saturday Workshop, scheduled
for October 21, 2000 in the Allen Senior Citizens Center This workshop will
start at 1 p.m., and be led by Dr Bruce Payton.
8. ADJOURN
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 8:10 p.m.
