1. CALL TO ORDER
Chair Evelyn Dawson called the meeting to order at 6:18 p.m.
2 CITIZENS COMMENTS
There was no citizens present wishing to speak at this time.
3. APPROVED THE MINUTES FROM September 4, 2001 REGULAR
CALLED MEETING
MOTION: Lisa Ellrich moved to accept the Minutes from October meeting. Lauren
Jones seconded the motion. The motion carried 5 for, 0 against.
4. INTRODUCTION OF NEW BOARD
Evelyn Dawson introduced the 2 new board positions. In place 3 Jennifer Kiser replaced
Joel Cantwell. In Place 5 Dee Hennigan replaced Joyce Richards.
5.
GUILD UPDATE
Bill Dillard reported that the meeting that he held with the guild went very well. Several
guild committees are very busy creating programs and brainstorming. Tina Daniels
reported that "Arts in Education" is in full swing. She attended an meetings with the Art
teachers from each elementary and spoke to them about their involvement with the Guild
and the An Board. Tina Daniels also attended a region wide meeting with area An
teachers and PTA board members to discuss Art in Education.

Budget for 2002
A formal budget will be present to the board from staff members at the November
meeting.

AD HOC COMMITTEE UPDATES
ARTS ALLIANCE/SCHOOL LIAISONLauren Jones and Cindy Kaleta
Nothing to report at this time. The guild is pursuing many opportunities with the school
district and the board will be updated in future meetings.

Update/Review on Board Projects/issues
Sunday Sounds

Tina Daniels reported that all the entertainment was booked for the Sundav
Sounds except the last date was not confirmed. The concert series is as follows:
October 7 Kalmka Duo Russian Folk
November 11 Melody Bell African Storytelling
December 16 Cindy Horstman Harpist
January 13 Mark Twain Storyteller
February 10 Lighthouse Brass Brass Ensemble
March 10 TBA

Election of Officers
Election of officers was postponed until the November 6, 2001 meeting.
9. Other Business
Lisa Anderson asked the board to consider purchasing stained glass for the Joe Fanner
Recreation Center for windows in the meeting rooms
