Chair Lisa Ellrich called the meeting to order at 6:04 p.m.

3. APPROVE MINUTES FROM September 3, 2002 REGULAR CALLED
MEETING
MOTION: Jennifer Kiser moved to accept the Minutes from the
September 3, 2002 Regular Called meeting. Lynn Moore seconded and the
motion carried 6 for, 0 against.
4. INTRODUCTION OF NEW BOARD MEMBER, SUSAN BUTLER.
Lisa Ellrich introduced Susan Butler to the board.
S. PRESENTATION OF FOUR CITY ART CENTER ---STEVE MATTHEWS
Steve Matthews presented a power point highlighting the
proposed Four City Art Center. A bond election is scheduled for
November 5, 2002.

MOTION: Jennifer Kiser moved to accept the Minutes from the
September 3, 2002 Regular Called meeting. Lynn Moore seconded and the
motion carried 6 for, 0 against.

Lisa Ellrich introduced Susan Butler to the board.

Steve Matthews presented a power point highlighting the
proposed Four City Art Center. A bond election is scheduled for
November 5, 2002.
6. Election of Officers
MOTION: The board elected and made a motion to elect the
following:
Chair Lisa Ellrich
Vice Chair Jennifer Kiser
The position of Secretary was tabled. The board had questions
concerning this office and would like to elect a secretary at the
November meeting. Patrice Alessandra moved to accept these
Board members as officers and to table the secretary position.
Lynn Moore seconded and the motion carried 6 for, 0 against.
7. DISCUSSION OF SUNDAY SOUNDS AND RESTRUCTURING INTO A
CULTURAL ARTS PROGRAM
The board would like to discuss with the Friends of the Library to restructure the
"Sunday Sounds" concert series. Tina Daniels will arrange a meeting with
"Library Friends", Lisa Ellrich and Susan Butler. A report will be given to the
board at the November 5, 2002 board meeting.
8. CALL FOR PUBLIC PROGRAM PROPOSAL
The board establish a grant application and guidelines for outside art
organizations to request grant money An ad will be place in the Dallas Morning
News, Plano edition calling for completed grant applications. Deadline to submit
a grant application is October 24, 2002 at 4:30 p.m. These applications will be
reviewed at the November 5, 2002 Regular Called Art Board meeting.
9. COMMITTEE REPORTS
No one had a committee report.
10. ADJOURN
There being no further business the meeting was adjourned at 8.18 p.m.
