Chair Lisa Ellrich called the meeting to order at 6:10 p.m.
2. CITIZEN COMMENTS
Ms. Stone commented that she was at this Arts Alliance meeting to observe for
a college class assignment.
3. APPROVE MINUTES FROM October 1, 2002 REGULAR CALLED
MEETING
MOTION: Jennifer Kiser made a motion to accept the minutes as written
and Lynn Moore seconded this motion. The motioned passed 5-0.
(Patrice Alessandra and Lauren Jones were not present at this time).
4. The board reviewed grants applications from Allen Civic Ballet, Allen Symphony
Brass Quintet, and the Noteable North Texas Chorus
MOTION: Jennifer Kiser voted to give the Allen Civic Ballet $1500.00
L, and Patrice Alessandra seconded this motion. The motion passed 5-2.

MOTION: Jennifer Kiser voted to give the Allen Civic Ballet $1500.00
L, and Patrice Alessandra seconded this motion. The motion passed 5-2.
MOTION: Jennifer Kiser made a motion not to give this group a grant
because they did not meet application criteria. Patrice Alessandra
seconded this motion. This motion passed 7-0.
MOTION: Jennifer Kiser made a motion to give the Noteable North
Texas Chorus grant money. This motioned passed 7-0.
MOTION: Patrice Alessandra made a motion to give $1,000 for Project 1.
Jennifer Kiser seconded this motion. This motion passed 7-0.
Patrice Alessandra made a motion to give Project II $5,000. Jennifer Kiser
seconded this motion. This motion passed 6-1
5. Tim Dentler has designed a brief power point, "Allen Arts Alliance, Year In
Review" Lisa Ellrich will show the power point to City Council and answer any
questions. All Board members were asked to attend this meeting.
6. Tim Dentler gave a brief update on the budget. No money has been spent at this
time.
7. Lynn Moore gave an update on "Public Art" She recommends that the board
spend the Public Art budget at City Hall, Heritage Center, Allen Drive, D.R.
Natatorium, Library Sculpture Garden, McDermott medians, Allen Dam. Also
suggested were rotating art exhibits within AISD and to partner with area service
organizations to provide art to support their projects.
8. Lisa Ellrich reported that she is meeting with "Friends of the Library" to discuss
involvement with the sculpture garden at the new library She will give a more
detailed report at a future meeting.
8. There was no other business at this time.
9. The meeting was adjourned at 8:12 p.m.
