1. CALL TO ORDER
Lynn Moore called the meeting to order at 6:10 p.m.
2. CITIZENS COMMENTS
None
3. APPROVE MINUTES FROM THE JULY 3 MEETING MEETING.
There were no minutes to approve as there was not a quomm present at the July
meeting.
4. Introduction of Lori Smeby
Tim Dentler introduced Lori Smeby as the Assistant Director of
Parks and Recreation

5. Symphony Overview
Kathy Latinis from the Allen Symphony gave us an update on the Symphony
2004 season
6. Discussion of Board Work Plan Schedule
Staff suggested that the board table the facilitator until the future.
Lori Smeby recommend that the board first develop policies and procedures
for public art.
7. Budget Update
Staff reported that there is some money remaining in the 2003 budget.
8. Other Business
Staff Updates
Review of Summer Sounds and Allen USA
Review of American West Art Exhibit
Consider Movie Night for post-Booville.
Staff will give more information on these items at a future meeting.
