1. CALL TO ORDER
Jennifer Kiser called the meeting to order at 6:04 p.m.
2. CITIZENS COMMENTS
None
3. APPROVE MINUTES FROM THE SEPTEMBER 2003 MEETING.
The minutes were not approved because there was a typo. The correction
will be made and the September minutes will be presented at the October
meeting.
4. READ BY-LAWS
Tim Dentler read the by-laws.

5. ELECT OFFICERS
Officers were elected as follows:
Lynn Moore as Chair
Jennifer Kiser as Vice Chair
Lauren Jones as Secretary.
6. CONSIDER FUNDING DESIGN FOR HERITAGE CENTER DISPLAY
Tim Dentler and Lori Smeby presented the "Heritage Center Display" and ask the
Allen Arts Alliance to fund this project.
MOTION: A motion was made by Sandi Acheson to fund
19 thousand dollars for this project. Sue Butler seconded
the motion. The motion carried 3-1.
7. REVIEW MARKETING MATERIAL
David Sterling presented new marketing materials he created for the board.
MOTION: A motion was made by Sue Butler to
accept the marketing materials. Sandi Acheson
seconded the motion.
8. PUBLIC ART/BUDGET UPDATE
Lori Smeby reported that the board had approximately 23 thousand that would
carry over to Fiscal Year 2004 for a "Round About' project. This will
provide public art in front of the library.
9 PUBLIC ART
Sue Butler did not have anything to report at this time.
10. OTHER BUSINESS
Camn Eldridge asked the AAAB members to judge the "Reflections" contest for
AISD. The judging will take place on November 6, 2003 at 7:00 p.m.

The meeting was adjourned at 8:42.
