Call to Order and Announce a Quorum Present
With members Michael Schaeffer,Jeff Burkhardt,Tim Litinas, and Baine Brooks in attendance, the
Special Called Meeting of the Allen Economic Development Corporation(AEDC) Board of Directors
was called to order by President Schaeffer at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday,June 8, 2019, at the Allen
Economic Development Corporation.
1. Discussion of AEDC Office Operations
Daniel Bowman presented an overview of AEDC office operations. AEDC staff members updated
the Board on the roles and key responsibilities of the Assistant Director, Marketing Director,
Business Retention and Expansion Manager, Analyst, Office Manager and Administrative
Assistant.
2. Discussion of AEDC Board and Staff Dvnamics
No discussion on this item.
3. Review Allen City Council Strategic Plan Items Related to Economic Development
Daniel Bowman provided an overview of the Allen City Council Strategic Plan items related to Economic
Development.
4. Development of AEDC 3-Year Goals and Objectives
Daniel Bowman facilitated a discussion among the Board members to develop new strategic goals for
the AEDC to support economic development in Allen. The Board created a list of goals for the
upcoming year.
5. Review and Discuss AEDC Mission Statement
Daniel Bowman facilitated a discussion among the Board and staff members to review and discuss the
AEDC Mission Statement. No changes were made to the AEDC Mission Statement.

6. Approval of AEDC Internship Position
On a motion by Baine Brooks, seconded by Tim Litinas, the Board unanimously approved authorizing
an AEDC internship program consisting of up to two interns, each for an employment period up to
five months, to be hired on a reoccurring basis each fiscal year.
7. Convene into Closed Executive Session: Pursuant to Texas Government Code Section 551.087•
Deliberation of Economic Development Negotiations: To Deliberate Commercial and Financial
Information and Economic Incentives for the Following:
a. Review and Discuss AEDC Incentives and Economic Development Project Opportunities
The Board convened into closed session at 11:41 a.m.
Reconvene into Open Session
The Board reconvened into open session at 12:19 p.m.
8. Closing Discussion
No discussion.
9. Adjournment
On a motion by Baine Brooks, seconded by Tim Litinas, the meeting was adjourned at 12:22 p.m.
