1. CALL TO ORDER AND ANNOUNCE A QUORUM IS PRESENT
Lynn Moore, Chair, called the Regular Allen Arts Alliance Board Meeting to Order
at 6:05 p.m.
2. APPROVE MINUTES FROM August 3, 2004 REGULAR MEETING
MOTION: Susan Butler moved to approve the Minutes from the August 3, 2004
regular Meeting. Sandi Acheson seconded and the Motion carried 5 in favor, 0
against.
3. CITIZENS COMMENTS:
None
4. ITEMS FOR ACTION:
A. Summer Sounds Band Ideas:
Shannon presented a list of 13 bands. Five bands were selected and will be
asked to perform. The final list of bands will be published once contracts have
been signed. David Sterling motioned to approve going forward with the five
Lbands and Sue Butler seconded, the motion carried 5 in favor, 0 against.

B. Missoula Children's Theater:
Shannon presented to the board information about a traveling Children's
Theater Group. Sandi Acheson motioned for the Arts Alliance to fund the
cost of the Children's Theater at a cost of $3100, Patrice Allesandra
seconded, the motion carried 5 in favor, 0 against.
5. ITEMS FOR INFORMATION:
A. Arts Master Plan:
Lori Smeby updated the board on the selection of the Master Plan Consultant,
Via Partnership. The selection will go before City Council on the consent agenda
in Mid -September
B. Art To Go:
The school volunteer training session will be held on Thursday, September 30 at
the Heritage Center at 6:30 p.m.
C. Budget Update:
Shannon presented the latest budget for the board.
G. Light Pole Banners:
Shannon reported her findings from the Streets Department: there are 10 pole
locations, Streets is in the process of replacing then and adding five more
locations, Permission is granted from the owner of the pole (the City of Allen); A
month's notice must be given for installation so it can be worked into the Streets
Department work schedule; The brackets hold a 60x30 inch banner
H. Other:
Add the following action items to the October agenda: grants, budget and
involvement in the Harvest Concert & Festival.
6. ADJOURN
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 7:25 p.m.
