ALLEN ARTS ALLIANCE BOARD
REGULAR MEETING
DECEMBER 7, 2004 — 6:00 P.M.

ITEMS FOR INFORMATION:
a. Reengineering of Allen Arts Alliance:
At board member Acheson's request, Lori Smeby reviewed the discussion held from the
November meeting of the benefits for moving forward as a stand alone board. Ms.
Moore questioned the financial viability of the board once it becomes stand alone. Ms.
Smeby reviewed with the board that the City is committed to the AAA being successful
both organizationally and financially
Due to the length of discussions, other agenda items were tabled until the January
meeting. Ms. Smeby asked that board members come to the January meeting
prepared to discuss who they could seek out in the community to apply for positions on
the "new' board.
b. Imagine Art Here workshop:
Discussed in art master plan oversight committee meeting
c. Other:
Ms. Smeby announced that the City Council will appoint three new members to the
board at the December 11 Council meeting.
4. Adjourn:
The meeting was adjourned at 7:00 p.m. for the public art master plan oversight
committee meeting.
