1. CALL TO ORDER AND ANNOUNCE A QUORUM IS PRESENT
Sue Butler, Vice Chair, called the Regular Allen Arts Alliance Board
Meeting to Order at 6:05 p.m.
2. APPROVE MINUTES FROM August 2, 2005 REGULAR MEETING
MOTION: Patrice Alessandra moved to approve the Minutes from the
August 2, 2005 regular meeting. Kathy Litinas seconded and the Motion
carried 5 in favor, 0 against.
3. CITIZENS COMMENTS
None
4. ITEMS FOR INFORMATION
a. Bach to Books and other library information Tom Keener
Tom Keener spoke about the upcoming Bach to Books concert featuring
the Allen Symphony Chorus. The concert will be held on September 22.
Mr. Keener also asked for input on creating a community calendar for
events happening in the civic auditorium.

4. ITEMS FOR INFORMATION continued:
b. Friends of the Library Funding Opportunity, Jane Bennett
Jane Bennett spoke about the past year of Bach to Books and its
tremendous success. She asked the board to fund a portion of next year's
program. The amount requested to fund next year between $4,000 and
$5,000.
c. Public Art Committee
Lori Smeby informed the board on the development of the Public Art
Committee. Ads announcing the application process will begin in
October Once the deadline for acceptance is reached applicants will
be interviewed then appointed.
5. ITEMS FOR ACTION
a. Recommendation of New Board Members
The motion of finalizing member selections was tabled. The selection
committee presented a list of five people to be interviewed for the
positions on the new Allen Arts Alliance Board. Final approval of new
members will be presented at the October meeting.
6. OTHER
a. Art to Go Update
Kick off meeting to be held Tuesday, Sept. 27. Portfolio storage cabinets
are designed and ready to be built. National Arts Society members have
offered to volunteer their time in preparing packets.

There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 7:05 p.m.
