1. CALL TO ORDER AND ANNOUNCE A QUORUM IS PRESENT
Lynn Moore, Chair, called the Regular Allen Arts Alliance Board Meeting
to Order at 6:06 p.m.
2. APPROVE MINUTES FROM SEPTEMBER 6, 2005 REGULAR MEETING
MOTION: Kathy Litinas moved to approve the Minutes from the October 4,
2005 regular meeting. Patrice Alessandra seconded and the Motion
carried 6 in favor, 0 against.
3. CITIZENS COMMENTS
Stefanie Best, a board member of the non-profit Allen Arts Alliance
introduced herself and gave a brief background of her experience with
the Arts.

4. ITEMS FOR INFORMATION
a. Mid-America Arts Alliance/Exhibits USA
Shannon Craft passed out a list of art exhibits that have been discounted
by Exhibits USA for the Spring season.
b. AFTA, Lynn Moore
Lynn asked the board if they wanted information forwarded to them
regarding Americans for the Arts lobbying projects.
c. Dissolution of Council Appointed Allen Arts Alliance
Lori Smeby updated the board on the progress of the Dissolution
Ordinance going before City Council on November 8. Lori advised the
board that the City of Allen Grants coordinator would still look for arts
grants. Also, once the board is dissolved an ad will be placed in the Allen
American for submitting applications for the Public Art Committee.
5. ITEMS FOR ACTION
a. Meeting Date for the first Official non-profit Allen Arts Alliance
Motion was tabled and the board was informed that future meeting dates
have been set as the first Tuesday of each month. The next meeting will
be Tuesday, December 6, 2005.
6. OTHER
a. It was asked that the AAA be considered as a beneficiary organization
at Allen USA 2006.
7. ADJOURN
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 6:52 p.m.
NOTE: This was the last official meeting of the City Council appointed Allen Arts
Alliance, therefore these minutes will not have been officially read and
approved by the Council appointed board.
