1. CALL TO ORDER AND ANNOUNCE A QUORUM IS PRESENT
David Sterling, Vice -Chair, called the Regular Allen Arts Alliance Board Meeting to
Order at 6:04 p.m.
2. APPROVE MINUTES FROM February 3, 2004 REGULAR MEETING
MOTION: Patrice Alessandra moved to approve the Minutes from February 3, 2004
regular Meeting as presented. Lauren Jones seconded and the Motion carried 4 for, 0
against.
3. CITIZENS COMMENTS:
None.
4. ITEMS FOR INFORMATION
A. Our Children's House at Baylor
Synne Mager Ferguson presented the plaque that will be displayed with the murals
Synne painted at Our Children's House at Baylor She also said that there will be a
reception soon thanking the sponsors of the murals.

B. Art to Go
Trudy Israel presented the "Art to Go" program to the Board. She handed out the
Information sheet with the projected cost of the Portfolio Development, the projected
costs for the next 7 years as well as the schedule for the 2004 school year The
packet also included "Art to Go" FAQ's. Trudy informed the board of her intent to
produce periodic reports of funds expenditures and program evaluations.
C. Budget Update
Shannon presented the updated budget.
5. ITEMS FOR ACTION
A. Marketing of AAA
Shannon Craft researched & presented the costs associated with the printing of panel
cards, banner stands, Summer Sounds Banners and water bill inserts.
MOTION -60,000 Panel Cards:
Patrice Alessandra made a motion to not do the panel cards at this time, Sandi
Acheson seconded. The motion carried 4 in favor 0 against.
MOTION—Banner Stands:
Patrice Alessandra made a motion to move forward with the Banner Stands, Lauren
Jones seconded. The motion carried 4 in favor 0 against.
MOTION—Summer Sounds Vinyl Banners:
Patrice Alessandra made a motion to do 1 14'x10' Summer Sounds Vinyl Banner for
iii the amphitheater, Sandi Acheson seconded. The motion carried 4 in favor 0 against.
MOTION—Water bill Inserts:
Patrice Alessandra made a motion to not do the water bill inserts at this time, Sandi
Acheson seconded. The motion carried 4 in favor 0 against.
C. Arts Master Plan:
Lori Smeby informed the board that the Parks and Recreation Department along with
the City Manager supports the idea of bringing a Consulting Firm on board to develop
an Arts Master Plan.
MOTION:
Lauren Jones made the motion to move forward with process of hiring a consulting firm,
Patrice Alessandra seconded. The motion carried 4 in favor 0 against.
6. ADJOURN
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 7:55 p.m.
