Members present :
Mayor Gentry T. Jones,Aldermen J.C. Hefner, Phil Pringle,
Talmadge L. Oxford, F. Dean Sears and C.E. Ottaway.
Motion: by Phil Pringle that election be called of the City
employee's, to determan if said employee's want SOCIAL SECURITY
and if they do the Mayor will follow through on this matter.
Second by Talmadge Oxford, motion passed, ayes (5) Five / noes
(0) none.
Motion by Mr. Ottaway to pay the bill1s, sec.by Mr. Oxford
motion passed, 08 (5) Five / noes (0) none.
Discussion on Street Lights :
Motion by Talmadge Oxford, for the Mayor too contact the Texas
Power & Li&ht Co., about 12 more MERCURY VAPOR ( 20,000 lumes
lumenaire ) Street Lamps to be placed at different points in the
City as discussed by the Mayor and City Council members. Sec. by
Dean Sears, motion passed - ayes (5) five / noes (0) none.
Mr. James A. Herndon was present in regard to a Permit for moving
a single family dwelling in on his property.
Motion was made by Phil Pringle that the Mayor be authorized too
issue a Permite to Mr. Herndon as long as it meets the requirments
of the City Ordenance, sec, by Mr. Ottaway, motion passed ayes
(5) five / noes (0) none.
Discussion : about the Alley on the North of the City Well Property
out to the Central-Expreawpy.
The Council decided to ask for a 10 ft. Easement on each side oI'
said Ailey.
