REGULAR MEETING OF THE
CITY COUNCIL, June 27th 1963
Meeting called to order by Mayor Gentry T. Jones,
Council Members present were : C.E. Ottaway, T.L. Oxford,
Dean Sears, Phil Pringle and J.D. Smith.
Motmon: By Talmadge Oxford that the City Council set as a equalization
board for the City of Allen on the 25th day of July 1963.
Second by Dean Sears, motion passed, ayes (5) Five/noes (0) none.
Motion: By Mr. Ottaway that the Tax rendation for the year 1963 be
excepted, and the Tax rate remain at X1.10 on per Sa 100.00
valuation for the year 1963, second by T.L. Oxford, motion
passed, Ayes (5) five / noes (0) none.
Motion: By C.E. Ottaway that the Mayor be instructed to run a TWO
inch water line from Bill LaGrones property, south than east
around BK. -K- to the Stake House of Gentry T. Jones, and tie
in to the existing line on the south side of the Street. Second
by T.L. Oxford, motion passed, ayes (5) five/ noes (0) none.
Motion; By C.E. Ottaway that the BY-LAWS of the Fire -Department be
tabled, and be retiped in proper form striking out the word
"while" in section 1 / paragraph 1, of said by-laws. Second by
Dean Sears, motion passed, ayes (5) Five / noes (0) none.
' Motion: By C.E. Ottaway that the Water Line serving Fred Carroll and
O.B. Desmukes be connected to the six ince line in the vicinity
of the New School. Sec. by Phil Pringle, motion passed, ayes
(5) five / noes (0) none.
Motion: By Dean Sears that the Mayor be authorized to inter into a
contract with Don Strong to pay for the 2 inch Water line
laid to Mr. Strongs property. Second by C.E. Ottaway, motion
passed, ayes (5) five noes (0) none.
