CALL TO ORDER:
The Allen Sign Control Board was called to order at 7:30 p.m. by Chairman
Chrisman at the Allen Municipal Annex, City Council Chambers, One Butler Circle,
Allen, Texas.
Approve Minutes
March 19, 1990, Called Joint Meeting (Agenda Item II)
Chairman Chrisman read the agenda item into the record as follows:
"Approve minutes of March 19, 1990, Special Called Joint Meeting of the
Allen City Council/City Boards."
MOTION: Upon a motion by Board Member Kleinschmidt and a second by Board
Member Leverett, the Board voted 3 FOR and 0 OPPOSED to approve
the minutes of March 19, 1990, as presented.

May 8, 1990, Regular Meeting (Agenda Item III)
Chairman Chrisman read the agenda item into the record as follows:
"Approve minutes of May 8, 1990, Regular meeting."
MOTION: Upon a motion by Board Member Kleinschmidt and a second by Board
Member Leverett, the Board voted 3 FOR and 0 OPPOSED to approve
the minutes of May 8, 1990, as presented.
Consider Renewal
Central McDermott Place (Agenda Item IV)
Chairman Chrisman read the agenda item into the record as follows:
"Consider 5th renewal of Class 4 sign located at Central McDermott Place
facing U.S. 75 south of F.M. 2170 for Western Gulf Savings & Loan."
MOTION: Upon a motion by Board Member Kleinschmidt and a second by Board
Member Leverett, the Board voted 3 FOR and 0 OPPOSED to approve
the renewal for Western Gulf Savings & Loan.
Items of Interest
Ms. Leeper advised the Board of 3 Class 4 signs permitted during the previous
month.
The Board expressed concern over the following issues:
1. A banner was placed at the Lutheran Church at Easter time and the church
was requested to remove it the day after the event.
2. Banners at Main Street and S.H. 5.
The Board discussed the need for considering a proper method of allowing
public announcements to be made.
3. Public hearing signs that are out of date.
4. High weeds on the new McDermott medians.
5. The need for recycling efforts.

Member Kleinschmidt, the Board voted 3 FOR and 0 OPPOSED to
adjourn the June 12, 1990, meeting of the Allen Sign Control Board
