Min - Board of Adjustment - 1990 - 11/13 - RegularALLEN SIGN CONTROL BOARD REGULAR MEETING NOVEMBER 13, 1990 ATTENDANCE: Board Members Present: Randy Leverett, Chairman Mike Claytor Terri Hall George Smyser Board Members Absent: Bruce Kleinschmidt City Staff Present: ISally Leeper, Secretary CALL TO ORDER: The Allen Sign Control Board was called to order at 7:30 p.m. by Chairman Leverett at the Allen Municipal Annex, City Council Chambers, One Butler Circle, Allen, Texas. Approve Minutes October 9, 1990 (Agenda Item II) Chairman Leverett read the agenda item into the record as follows: "Approve minutes of October 9, 1990, regular meeting." MOTION: Upon a motion by Board Member Claytor and a second by Board Member Hall, the Board voted 4 FOR and 0 OPPOSED to approve the minutes of October 9, 1990, as presented. i ALLEN SIGN CONTROL BOARD NOVEMBER 13, 1990 PAGE 2 Third Renewal Bass Development (Agenda Item III) Chairman Leverett read the agenda item into the record as follows: "Consider third renewal of Class 4 Temporary Promotional sign located at Sycamore Creek and Fountain Gate Drive for Bass Development." City staff advised that all signs under consideration are in good repair at this time. MOTION: Upon a motion by Board Member Hall and a second by Board Member Claytor, the Board voted 4 FOR and 0 OPPOSED to approve the third renewal for Bass Development. Third Renewal Ike Harris & Company (Agenda Item IV) Chairman Leverett read the agenda item into the record as follows: "Consider third renewal of Class 4 Temporary Promotional sign located at the northeast corner of Bethany and Livingston for Ike Harris & Company." MOTION: Upon a motion by Board Member Claytor and a second by Board Member Hall, the Board voted 4 FOR and 0 OPPOSED to approve the third renewal for Ike Harris & Company. Second Renewal MarVmark Homes (Agenda Item V) Chairman Leverett read the agenda item into the record as follows: "Consider second renewal of Class 4 Temporary Promotional sign located at 801 Fall Drive for Marymark Homes." MOTION: Upon a motion by Board Member Hall and a second by Board Member Smyser, the Board voted 4 FOR and 0 OPPOSED to approve the second renewal for Marymark Homes. [I ALLEN SIGN CONTROL BOARD NOVEMBER 13, 1990 PAGE 3 Third Renewal Stan Itzkowicz (Agenda Item VI) Chairman Leverett read the agenda item into the record as follows: "Consider third renewal of Class 4 Temporary Promotional sign located at S. H. 121 and Shelby Drive for Wood Sign Company representing Stan Itzkowicz." MOTION: Upon a motion by Board Member Claytor and a second by Board Member Hall, the Board voted 4 FOR and 0 OPPOSED to approve agenda items VI and VII. Third Renewal Stan Itzkowicz (Agenda Item VII) Chairman Leverett read the agenda item into the record as follows: "Consider third renewal of Class 4 Temporary Promotional sign located at U.S. 75 and Shelby Drive for Wood Sign Company representing Stan Itzkowicz." MOTION: See Agenda Item VI. Third Renewal F.M. 2170 Limited Partnership (Agenda Item VIII) Chairman Leverett read the agenda item into the record as follows: "Consider third renewal of Class 4 Temporary Promotional off-site sign located at the northwest corner of F.M. 2170 and U.S. 75 for F.M. 2170 Limited Partnership." MOTION: Upon a motion by Board Member Claytor and a second by Board Member Smyser, the Board voted 4 FOR and 0 OPPOSED to approve the renewal for F.M. 2170 Limited Partnership. Other Business City staff advised that the annual boards and commission appreciation dinner is scheduled for December 11, 1990 and conflicts with the next meeting of the Sign Control Board. After discussion, the consensus of the Board was to hold the next regular meeting on the regular date (December 11, 1990) at 6:30 p.m. City staff further advised that Board Member Kleinschmidt has reported that the Chamber of Commerce has volunteered to assist him with the committee to consider alternative to the banner situation at S.H. 5 and Main Street.
