CALL TO ORDER AND ANNOUNCE A QUORUM:
With a quorum of the Allen Sign Control Board present, the meeting was called to
order at 7:30 p.m. by Chairman Leverett at the Allen Municipal Annex, City
Council Chambers, One Butler Circle, Allen, Texas.
Approve Minutes
June 11, 1991 (Agenda Item II)
Chairman Leverett read the agenda item into the record as follows:
"Approve minutes of June 11, 1991, Regular meeting."
MOTION: Upon a motion by Board Member Claytor and a second by Board
Member Smyser, the Board voted 4 FOR and 0 OPPOSED to approve
the minutes of June 11, 1991, as presented.

Renewal
Goodman Homes (Agenda Item III)
Chairman Leverett read the agenda item into the record as follows:
"Consider 5th Renewal for Class 4 Off -Site Sign for Goodman Homes located
at the northwest corner of Fountain Gate Drive and Main Street."
Mr. Del Ferro stated that the sign is in good repair.
MOTION: Upon a motion by Board Member Claytor and a second by Board
Member Winslow, the Board voted 4 FOR and 0 OPPOSED to approve
the 5th renewal for Goodman Homes.
Renewal
Royce Homes (Agenda Item IV)
Chairman Leverett read the agenda item into the record as follows:
"Consider 1st Renewal of Class 4 Sign for Royce Homes located at 713
Sycamore Creek Road."
Board Member Smyser stated the sign is in good repair. It was noted that the
copy is slightly different from that shown in the packet.
MOTION: Upon a motion by Board Member Smyser and a second by Board
Member Claytor, the Board voted 4 FOR and 0 OPPOSED to approve
the 1st renewal for Royce Homes.
Renewal
U.S. Home (Agenda Item V)
Chairman Leverett read the agenda item into the record as follows:
"Consider 1st Renewal of Class 4 Sign for U.S. Home located at the north-
west corner of Bethany and Fairlawn."
It was noted that this sign has been removed and therefore no action is neces-
sary.

Renewal
Bass Development (Agenda Item VI)
Chairman Leverett read the agenda item into the record as follows:
"Consider 5th Renewal for Class 4 Sign for Bass Development located at the
southeast corner of Sycamore Creek and Roaring Springs."
Board Member Claytor stated that the sign is in good repair. Board Member
Winslow stated that the posts appear to be in need of paint and Mr. Del Ferro
advised he would contact Mr. Bruce Prins, Bass Development, regarding this.
MOTION: Upon a motion by Board Member Smyser and a second by Board
Member Claytor, the Board voted 5 FOR and 0 OPPOSED to approve
the renewal for Bass Development.
Approval - Off -Site Sign
Diamond Homes (Agenda Item VII)
Chairman Leverett read the agenda item into the record as follows:
"Consider Request for Class 4 Off -Site Sign by Diamond Homes to be
located at the southwest corner of Alien Heights Drive and Main Street."
Mr. Rick Moran, #2 Creekcrest Ct, Allen, Texas, represented Diamond Homes in
this request. He stated that they have 9 lots, and are attempting to purchase
additional lots in Clearview Estates. They need the sign to direct people to their
model.
The Board reviewed the letter from the subject property owner giving permission
to Diamond Homes to erect this sign.
MOTION: Upon a motion by Board Member Claytor and a second by Board
Member Hall, the Board voted 5 FOR and 0 OPPOSED to approve the
off-site sign for Diamond Homes.
Other Business:
Chairman Leverett discussed items relating to the purpose and assignment of the
Sign Board.
Mr. Del Ferro reviewed the Class 4 permits issued in the past month.
Board Member Claytor questioned whether Card Mania had obtained a permit for
their sign and Mr. Del Ferro stated that the owner had been advised that he
needed to obtain a permit. He will follow-up on this again.

MOTION: Upon a motion by Board Member Claytor and a second by Board
Member Smyser, the Board voted 5 FOR and 0 OPPOSED to adjourn
the July 9, 1991, meeting of the Allen Sign Control Board at 7:45
p.m.
