Present Mayor Gentry T. 'ones Aldermen C.E. Ottaway, T.L. Oxford,
J.D. Smith, Phil Pringle and F. Dean Sears.
Minutes of previous meeting read and approved
Roy A Hefner was present and asked for a Street light on Watson drive.
also Roy was checking about a permit for Mr. L.R. Buck, on lot 5 - BK
3 in the OD of the City of Allen, which, now belongs to C.L. Ereckson.
Motion was made by Phil Pringle that the PERMIT be issued, second by
Mr. Ottaway. Motion passed ayes (4) four / noes none.
John Enloe was in to discuss the Water Line which was passed on in a
previous meeting, to be run too Mr Enloes property. Motion was made by
T.L. Oxford too spend APP. a 700.00 if needed to run a (211) TWO INCH
line as far as needed, and extend on to the John Enloe property with a
smaller line / from North Second Street -EAST-// North/along EAST AVE AA
NORTH. Second by J.D. Smith, motion passed Ayes (4) Four / Noes (1) one
Ms Ottaway.
Mr. Enloe said "he would do the work for 30¢ per Ft.
Mr J.D. Buckhanan Jr. read an ordinance canvassing the Election returns
of the BOND ELECTION held on the 7th day of September 1963, Motion was ]5
made by Mr. Ottaway that said ORDINANCE be made a part of these minutes
and second by J.D. Smith, motion carried Ayes (5) Five / noes (0) none.
The Council discussed the matter of getting some -one (posibaly some -
out Sider) to get an appraisal on some property for the future location
of a SEWER PLANT for the City of Allen.
Discusion on bidding on one of three FIRE TRUCKS to be sold in Dallas
bids to be in by Sept 20th 1963, Mr Ottaway and Mr Oxford as a commity
along with the Mayor and FIRE CHIEF are too go and take a look at these
Fire Trucks.
The Mayor and all Aldermen are to meet at the City Hall at 1:00 P.M.
Saturday Sept. 16th - 63 / to go look at some of the sights which
have been recommenddd�for a future Sewer Plant, for the City of Allen.
Motion by C.E. Ottaway to contact Mr John Cantrell , who is a
Surveyor for the State High -Wag department, about Surveying some of the
Streets in Allen. If he ( Mr Cantrell ) is -not available, then
contact HEROD & SKILS consulting Bngrs. about do-ing the Surveying.
Sec. by Mayor Jones, motion passed Ayes (5) Five / noes (0) none.
