SEPT_. 26th 1963
Mayor Gentry T. Jones called the meeting too order with the
following members present: Phil Pringle, F. Dean Sears, J.D. Smith
and C.E. Ottaway. Talmadge L. Oxford absent.
Mr Al Verzi, was here from the Cottonwood community too talk
with the Council in regard to a future site for a Sewer Plant. Mr
Walter Hicks our City Engineer was here and explained to Mir Verzi
some of the reasons for putting a Sewer Plant in that section of
the country, the main reason is the " Draniage purpose".
Mayor Jones suggested to wait for the appraisal on FOUR PLOTS
of lend before making any move. Appraisal will take about 10 days.
Council members set Saturday Sept. 28th 8:00 A.M. to go look
at Sewer Site.
Discussion about obtaining a DOG ORDINANCE
Motion by Mr Sears that we get some -one from the FIRE DEPT. to
inspect some of the CITY PROPERTY for Fire hazzards. Second by Mr.
Ottaway, motion passed, ayes (4) Four noes (0) None,
Mayor Jones, Phil Pr ingle and Mr Ottaway, along with any other
Council member that can be present, are to inspect the Street work
dome by B.P. MCINERNEY & COMPANY,before payment is made for said work.
Motion by Mr Prilgle to pay the bills, second by Mr. Ottaway,
motion passed, ayes (1;) Four / noes (0) None.
Request for a Street light in front of Mrs John Rose's house.
PERMIT
We are to check with County health Officer, Mr Cantrall, re-
garding a Permit from the Pulition Control Board.
