Regular T✓.eeting of the City Council, City of Allen.
Members present as follows :
Mayor Gentry T. Jones, Aldermen Phil Pringle, J.D. Smith,F. Dean
Sears and C.E. Ottaway. Talmadge L. Oxford absent.
Bill's were passed around, Motion by Mr. Ottaway for billts to be
paid, second by Mr Pringle. Motion passed Ayes (4) Four/noes(0) none.
Discussion : The Council discussed quite lengthy about the
future site for a Sewer Plant, with reference to the proper location --
---cost of land z ect.. However, the Council is still waiting on
appraisal from the appraiser.
Discussion about Council members being absent.
Motion by Mr Sears that the request for a Street Light at Mrs
John Rosefs place be denied. Sec. by Phil Pringl8. Motion passed
ayes (4) Four / noes (0) none.
Motion by C.E. Ottaway too buy at least (6) Six -YIELD*RIGHT-
OF-WAY SIGNS. Buy more if we can get a discount by taking more.
Second by Phil Pringle, motion passed, ayes (4) Four / noes (0) none.
Yx Sears moved that the Mayor get's the County Truck too
sprinkle some of the Streets with the same solution the County uses
to keep down the dust, second by Mr. Ottaway, motion passed,
ayes (Ij.) Four / noes (C) none.
