Meeting called to order by Mayor Gentry T. Jones
Aldermen present : C.E. Ottaway, Talmadge Oxford, F. Dean Sears,
Phil Pringle and J.D. Smith.
Leo Dement was present to check on getting some Sewer Line run
on ?KITH Drive. Motion:
Phil Pringle that the customer pays $ 1.00 per Ft.
on a SIX INCH: SEWER LINE from the center of his lot to where the
TAP is made, and the City is to pay the balance of cost on Line.
Second by C.E. Ottaway, motion passed ayes (5) Five / noes (0) none.
Don Jones also wants Sewer, MOTION :
Mr Ottaway that This man ( Mr Don
Jones) be assessed $ 200.00 as his part on the Sewer Line to be run
from his property too the TAP, sec. by Phil Pringle, motion passed
ayes (5) Five / noes (0) none.
Mr Cate discussed with the Council about moving some houses into
the City of Allen. Mr Ottaway moved
'That Mr Cate brings in a plot on his property for
the City Council to see, IINKLM i on Tuesday nite Oct. 29th at a
SPECIAL MEETING of the City Council. Sec. by Dean Sears, motion passed
ayes (5) Five / noes (0) None.
Mr Skiles of Herod & Skiles was present to discuss with the Council
about some Street Survey's. Mr Skiles is going to do some checking
and report back to the Council regarding the COST 4i ect.
Mr Virzie was a visitor.
Discussion :
Regarding a Covenant for the City of Allen regarding the moving -in
of houses and building of new Frame houses.
Motion :
By Phil Pringle that the City of Allen adopt
National Builders Code as a standard
for all future Construction.
Second by J.D. Smith, motion passed ayes (5) Five / noes none.
Oxford went home.
Motion
Mr Ottaway that the Insurance policy for the FIRE DEPARTYENT
be renewed, sec. by Mr Smith, motion passed, ayes 4 / noes 0
Motion :
Mr Ottaway if the City Attorney advises that we take Libality
Insurance on the Fire Truak and get it now. Sec, by Mr Pringle,
Motion passed ayes (L) Four / noes (0) None.
Check Sewer Plant for mosquitoes.
Cracks in pavement on Watson Street.
