Present : Mayor Gentry T. Jones-- Aldermen C.E. Ottaway,
Phil Pringle and F. Dean Sears. Members absent- J.D. Smith
and Talmadge L. Oxford,
Mr Alex Orr our City Attorney was also present.
Motion:
3Y Mr, Pringle that an ORDINANCE be drawn up a.
our City attorney to adopt the NATIONAL
BUILDi= CODE as a standard for future
construction, second by Mr. Ottaway, motion
passed ayes (3) 'Phrae / noes (0) none.
Discussion was made by the Council on TRACT's 1-2 & 3 as set out
in the appraisal record of ADAMS & ARMSTRONG.
Motion:
By Mr. Sears -that the Mayor appoint a committee
to contact the owner of tract h" 3 of Adams & Armstrong's appraisal's
and to make an offer to purchase 50 acres along the west side of
said tract, including an access road bordening said property, and
that the offer shall be for '� 82$,00 per acre, and that the
committee shall present to the owner of said tract a copy of the
two independent appraisal's as prepared by Mr. Adams c: Armstrong.
Second by Ali, Ottaway, motion passed, ayes (3) three/noes (0) none.
