SPECIAL MEETING OF THE
COTY COU9CIL, CITY OF ALLEN, ALLEN, TEXAS
Present : Mayor Gentry T. Jones Aldermen J.D. Smith, C.E. Ottaway,
Dean Sears and Phil Pringle. Absent Talmadge L. Oxford.
Mr Cate was present to present his plot on his property, with
reference too moving in some houses, after some discussion, Mr.
Ottaway moved-- that the matter with Mr Cate be tabled to be brought
up at the next regular meeting of the City Council, second by Phil
Pringle, motion passed : ayes (4) Four / noes (0) none.
Mr Ottaway one of the committee appointed by Mayor Jones, gave
a report on tract of 3 as shown in the appraisal of Adams & Aamstrong.
after some discussion, Motion was made by J.D. Smith that the Mayor
be instructed too start condemnation suit on said tract � 3, second by
Phil Pringle, motion passed -- ayes (4) Four / noes (0) none.
The Council had some discussion with Mr Herod & Skiles about
the survey on some Streets and laying some Sewer Line. Mr Skiles
advised, concrete for Streets that were to be fixed at this time.
Iie (Mr Skiles) also quoted their fee is 90 of the Construction cost or
will work for 1,112.00 per hour for field work -- 4;6.00 per hour for
office work, and if their men do the work they would like to be known
as the CITY of ALLEN ENGINEERS.
Mr. Ottaway moved that Herod q. Skiles Engineering
Company of Richardson Texas, present a contract proposing employment
as City Engineers of Allen Texas (Et the next regular Council meeting.
Second by J.S. Smith, motion passed ayes (4) Four -- noes (0) none.
Mayor Jones appoints Ms Ottaway -Sears and Pringle too check the
house Mr Cate now has in Plano and report back to him as soon as
they can.
