Call to Order.
Kurt Kizer, AFDC President, called the meeting to order at 5:10 p.m. on July 26, 2006.
Convene into Closed Executive Session
The Executive Director Screening Committee convened into closed executive session at 5:10 p.m. to
review and discuss candidate applications for the position of Executive Director/CEO of the Allen
Economic Development Corporation.
Reconvene into Regular Session
The Committee reconvened into regular session at 6.45 p.m.
Consider and take Action as Result of the Executive Session
The Executive Director Screening Conunittee reviewed 13 qualified applications for the position of
Executive Director/CEO of the Allen Economic Development Corporation. There were an additional
six candidates that did not meet the minimum qualifications for review.
Based on the applications, the Screening Committee selected six candidates and one alternate to call
for preliminary interviews. The six candidates included Lee Ayres, Stephen Filipowicz, John Jacobs,
Carmen Moran, Jubal Smith and Robert Winningham. Gary Vest was selected as an alternate if there
is a need for additional interviews following the initial six interviews.
Bodisch will contact Mike Rosa, Greater Dallas Chamber of Commerce, and Carlton Schwab, Texas
Economic Development Council, for input on the list of finalists.
Bodisch will contact the six finalists to schedule interviews on Wednesday, August 9 with the
Screening Committee. Friday, August 11 will serve as a backup date for those unable to meet. on
August 9
The Screening Committee briefly discussed the questions. Any additional input received from the
Committee and/or AEDC Board of Directors will be incorporated into the questions prior to the
interviews.

The goal of the interviews will be to narrow the list of qualified candidates to two or three to then be
interviewed by the Selection Committee consisting of the Screening Committee, the Mayor and the
AEDC Board of Directors.

The Screening Committee adjourned at 7:00 p.m.
