REGULAR MEETING
OF
THE TOWN COUNCIL, TOWN OF ALLEN, TEXAS
February 13th, 1964
Members present as follows : Mayor Gentry T. Jones
Aldermen, Phil Pringle , C. E. Ottaway, B. J . Enloe
Mayor Jones gave Mr. B. J . Enloe the Oath of Office
to serve Qs Alderman.
Several of the citizens of Allen attenede this meeting
to ask questions concerning the City Ordinances with refer-
ence to moving houses into the City of Allen. Mr. & Mrs.
Cassaday were present to discuss the location of their house,
which was moved in, with the City Council.
Mr. Hicks, one of the Engineers, was present to discuss
future site for Sewer Plant. Mr. Hicks introduced a Resol-
ution for a Federal Grant for the City of Allen under Public
Law 660 as amended, Motion by Phil Pringle that the Mayor
be authorized to sign Resolution on Federal Grant. Seconded
by C. E. Ottaway. Motion passed . Ayes--Three(3) -Noes None.
Mayor Jones read the Letter of Resignation from Alder-
man, T. L. Oxford to the City Council. Motion by C . E. Ottaway
that the letter be excepted . Seconded by Phil Pringle.
Motion passed . Ayes Three(3)-Noes None.
Motion by Phil Pringle that Mr. R. B. Whisenant be
appointed to fill the unexpired term of Mr. T. L. Oxford.
Seconded by C. E. Ottaway. Motion Passed . Ayes--Three(3)-
Noes-None. R. B. Whisenant was present at this meeting so
Mayor Jones gave Mr. Whisenant the Oath of Office for
Alderman.
Motion by Phil Pringle to pay bills . Seconded by
B. J. Enloe. Motion passed. Ayes Four(4)--Noes None.
Mayor Jones Discussed the Salary of Mr. Ereckson,the
Water Superintendent, Motion by Bill Whisenant that we
raise Mr. Ereckson's Salary to $250.00 per month. Seconded
by B. J. Enlee. Motion passed. Ayes Four--Noes None ,
Meeting adjorned by Mayor Jones.
