Present: Present: Mayor Gentry T. Jones
Aldermen - Jimmy Gantt, C.E. Ottaway, and R.B. Whisenant
B.J. Enloe and Phil Pringle
Mr Herod - City Engineer
Motion : Jimmy Gantt to pay current bills. Second by B.J. Enloe.
Motion passed - ayes 5, Noes none
Mrs. J.W. Day, Eugene Julian and Frank B. Johnson was
present to talk with the Council about fixing the alley
at the back of their property
Motion: B.J. Enloe to have Mr Herod our engineer too check said
alley, and give his recommendation as too how it should
be fixed. Second by Jimmt Gantt. Motion passed ayes 5,
neys none.
Mr. H.E. Hefner and T.H. Ereckson representing the Allen
School was present to discuss with the council the
revaluation of school and city assessment values.
Motion: C.E. Ottaway made motion that the city pay 1/2 of the
cost of having assessment values changed in the Allen
City Limits. Seconded by Jimmy Gantt. Motion Passed
Ayes 5-noes none.
The City Council checked tax rendition sheets that Mr.
Walter Curtis makred for their attention.
The Equalization Board will meet July 9th 1964, at
the City Hall at 7:30 P.M. The City Council will act
as Equalization Board.
